1. Striving to select presenters, volunteers, and locations that reflect the communities we currently, and hope to, serve.
2. Promoting a participatory process, listening with openness and taking into account what communities want to learn.
3. Evaluating each event and taking all feedback into account to make sure our events are respectful, relevant, and meaningful.
4. Making our processes transparent and accessible across a variety of stakeholders.
5. Using cultural humility to guide our work by:
a. Engaging in DEI training so we can grow in understanding and compassion.
b. Continually reflecting on our work through the lenses of equity and inclusion.
c. Admitting when we make mistakes, and learning from them.
